Jackie is our Early Childhood Director here at New Hope, overseeing the infant-kindergarten ministry. She was born in San Francisco and grew up in the surrounding area. She became a Christian at the age of 16. After graduating from college, she began working with kids and their families eventually becoming a consultant to childcare centers in the areas of curriculum, development and classroom management. In 1996 she partnered with the State of California to create a state subsidized preschool which continues to operate today. Her journey into full time ministry began after moving to Bend in 2001. Jackie joined the staff of New Hope in 2013 and is so thankful to be a part of the New Hope family.
As an Early Childhood Director she creates experiences that connect young children to the wonder of God’s love, helping them embrace a God who is bigger than their imagination. She accomplishes this by working alongside volunteers and parents, encouraging and equipping them to help kids see Jesus for who He is. Along with Sunday ministry, she is involved in mid week kid experiences and family/parenting events.
Jackie’s favorite things in life are being married to her husband, Paul since 1989 and being the mom of her 2 amazing children, Sumi and Bryce.
When Jackie has some free time she enjoys hanging out with her family, chatting with her girlfriends or reading one of the many books in her to-read stack. She loves living in Bend and especially enjoys the outdoor living that comes with Bend summers.
