What is Parent & Child Dedication?
The Parent & Child Dedication experience offers families an opportunity to leverage the best of our combined resources and efforts to build strong families and raise kids to know, love and follow Jesus.
We believe parents have the most influence with their kids. It’s this belief that moves us to focus on parents and children, when it comes to dedication.
The Dedication ceremony is a celebration that expresses gratitude for the gift of your child and makes public the mutual commitment between your family and our church community. It is not a ceremony that brings salvation to your child, and it is not in place of baptism later, once the child places their trust in Jesus.
To participate in the Parent & Child Dedication Ceremony you must:
Be a regular attender of New Hope Church
Be the parents or legal guardians of the child
Your child must be 5 years old or younger at the time of dedication
Attend one of the Pre-Dedication Classes.
Complete the “Imagine the End” and “Widen the Circle” homework
The next scheduled Dedication Ceremony will be:
May 9th, Mother’s Day during the 9:00 & 10:30 services
