Background

I was born on Sept 3, 1943 in Allentown, NJ. Following my father’s death fighting the Germans in WW11, my mother and I relocated to the west coast to live with her sister. At age 3, my mother met and married a wonderful man, Dave Bronson. They had two children, Bruce and Kathy.
For the next 17 years, I was blessed to live in a godly home where at age 10, I accepted the Lord, while attending St Andrews Church in SW Portland.
Upon earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Portland State University, I accepted an offer from Ford Motor Co in Los Angeles and later to San Diego where I subsequently learned to fly. Thus began a forty year career in the automotive industry where I worked for companies like Jeep, American Honda, and Ford Motor Co both on the wholesale and retail levels.
In 1979 I would acquire my first of three auto dealerships, located in both California and Nevada. At the same time, I moved from San Diego to Davis.
Being a pilot allowed me the flexibility to take care of my businesses while having more time to spend with my family.
I married my first wife Linda and we were blessed with 3 children, Kristin, Justin and Brittany. She passed away in 1992 from brain cancer.
Following my wife’s death, I sold all my automotive businesses and relocated to Sunriver where I took over the management of the SR Airport. I started a charter service and aircraft maintenance company, SunAir, and eventually moved it to the Bend Airport.
During that time we attended the SR Community Church where I served in the sound booth, ushering and Awana’s. With the assistance of the head pastor I had the privilege of baptizing my children. This loving environment was a great place to raise my children. It was here in 1996, I met my currant wife, Pamela Price, her daughter Melissa and her son Brian. We were married at the SR Community Church.
Due to the busy school schedules, we decided to move to Bend in 1999 and started attending New Hope Church where we have been members ever since. I’ve been an usher/greeter as well as having had the honor of serving on the Pastor Parrish and Church Council for over 10 years.
Today, I continue to be involved in New Hope Church when I’m not RVing and exploring God’s creation.
Isaiah 40:31
But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not be faint.
